The Traffiview system independently performs calculations using a powerful internal processor, saving valuable data transmission time. Data transmission occurs only when abnormal event warnings are sent as pre-defined by the individual customer. The system provides warnings transmitted via SMS, email or online information system. In addition, a comprehensive suite of reports can be used to collate information on vehicle or driver details. These reports include detailed journey-by-journey analysis, summary reports showing total driving and idling times, exception reports and violation reports.

Traffiview is equipped with an internal GPS antenna, enabling precise, real-time vehicle positioning. The system's processor transmits data to Traffilog's servers for easy recording and report generation.

Traffiview provides real-time vehicle location and the retrieval of historical routes. Detailed reports or immediate events can be customised including deviation from authorised geographical areas and customer layers.
